You should see the excavator 9-iron
Li'l Baby Scaia would have been enamored of a theme park that opened this summer in Grapevine. Dig World invites munchkins to try out heavy construction equipment.

I would spend hours setting up elaborate scenarios with Matchbox cars. There would, of course, need to be elaborate construction zones, too. Those roads tracing paths along the carpet of the living room would need to be expanded to relieve congestion, and that doesn't just happen.
Dig World puts you to work immediately. Kids get to sit behind the controls of excavators and dig into a giant mound of dirt. Maybe that doesn't sound exciting to you, but I can assure you as a former kid, digging a giant hole with an excavator would absolutely be an attraction.
Dig World explains giving kids a chance to operate machinery in a safe environment can show them a good time, but it can also spark an interest while they're young for jobs that are likely to be in demand when they grow up.
"I want to try, like, all of these rides," I replied. "I could totally go for demolishing a large city, like, right now."
The wrecking balls and excavators were just warm-ups, though. They've also got two separate race tracks set up where you can race either mini-tractors or--for the older kids--skid steers.

I suspect the park is more fun than an actual construction site. Perhaps, and since I don't work in construction, this is all just conjecture, you would not normally be challenged to sink as many basketballs as you can into a giant construction barrel.
Dig World had previously opened a location near Houston, and they say while the park is geared toward kids, they also get a lot of excited parents. Plus, they get booked for corporate team-building activities.
For instance, if you like talking business over a round of golf, I played a paradoxically giant round of mini-golf with an excavator.
Maybe shooting baskets or using industrial equipment to play golf wouldn't normally be part of a construction site, but they can get kids interested in STEM fields. They can also get grown men who don't have anything better to do interested as well.
Perhaps this next video, featuring a child looking disinterested the opposite direction, highlights how dads might have some of the most fun at the park.
