Open wheel racing is a sport that demands precision. An IndyCar circuit is unforgiving; even a slight deviation of your machine's wing or the fuel mixture can cost the hundredths of a second that can knock a driver from the top of the podium.

Loyal Scaiaholics will recall my rich history with auto racing. And by "rich history," I mean, "The marketing people at the McLaren dealership let me, against their better judgment, take one of their cars for a test drive."

An associate in public relations recently sent me a note, asking if I'd like to test drive a McLaren. The Scaia family has a rich history with racing, by which I mean we'd buy tickets to the Indianapolis 500 every year, attend approximately one year out of three and then scalp the tickets the other years.
