We all know how seriously I take my duty as a journalist, particularly when a stadium introduces a new menu. After covering severe weather this week, I determined we all needed a break, so I headed to Frisco to try the new dishes they'll serve at FC Dallas' home opener Saturday.

In this post-apocalyptic wasteland where we spent hours having to make phone calls over wifi and another mysterious balloon questions our very place in this universe, you may be feeling lost.

Every time a sports team has me show up to test their new menu, I think, "They'll never find another place to hide cheese!" And every time, I'm wrong.

"I've got some ideas I'd like to try out before the next home match," the new executive chef for FC Dallas said. "Doesn't Scaia test all the new food at stadiums? Let's get him in here."

We might feel beaten down heading into the weekend, but FC Dallas has something for us all.

This weekend, the Texas Rangers start their second home stand of 2021. Major League Soccer's FC Dallas also begins its season with a match in Frisco.
